Since 1965, the Anzac Day Trust Fund has provided annual grants to organisations that support the welfare of veterans and their dependents in Queensland.

On 14 April 2023, the Queensland Veterans’ Council became responsible for the administration of the Anzac Day Trust Fund under the Anzac Day Act 1995.

Anzac Day Trust Fund 2024

2024 is the second year that the Queensland Veterans’ Council (QVC) will administer the Trust Fund grant program. This year, the program will provide approximately $1.6 million in grants to organisations that support the welfare of veterans and their dependents in Queensland.

Feedback from past recipients and analysis of data from previous rounds have resulted in changes to the program in 2024 to ensure that the grant program is more accessible for applicants and to deliver outcomes with greater impact for the veteran community in Queensland.

In 2024 the QVC will deliver the Anzac Day Trust Fund through two separate streams:

  • Under Stream A, smaller organisations can apply for grants up to $10,000 for the reimbursement of eligible expenditure incurred during the 2022-2023 financial year (that is, July 2022 to June 2023).
  • Stream B will provide grants of up to $100,000 per organisation to fund future services and activities that support veterans and their dependents. Stream B applications are subject to a merit based and competitive assessment process.
