Purpose

The Young Canberra Citizen of the Year Awards recognise individuals and groups of young Canberrans aged 12 to 25 who have made a significant contribution to the ACT community.

Overview

The Awards seek to acknowledge and celebrate significant personal achievements of individual young people.

Nominations can be submitted in the following seven categories:

  1. Young Canberra Citizen of the Year Award;
  2. Young Achiever Award;
  3. Personal Achievement Award;
  4. Environment and Sustainability Award;
  5. Group Achievement Award.
  6. Arts and Multimedia Award

Eligibility

The Awards are supported by the ACT Government and sponsors, who are committed to recognising the talents and contributions of young people from diverse backgrounds and lived experiences.
