Purpose
A Quick Response Grant is funding that is available throughout the year to support new community organisations and to help established groups to address urgent or unexpected challenges and opportunities that may impact their organisation, core programs or the Casey community.
Overview
Council’s Quick Response Grants program provides funding of up to $1,000 to:
- Unforeseen expenses -this is for expenses that are not expected and that pose a risk to the function of your organisation or delivery of your core programs. For example, addressing an urgent safety issue or replacing core equipment.
- Unexpected opportunity - this is to take advantage of opportunities that will benefit your group and/or the Casey community but could not be planned for in advance and that need to be acted on within a short timeframe.
- Support for newly established groups - this is available for Casey-based groups to support them in their first year of operation as an incorporated group. This may include start-up costs such as public liability insurance, purchase of necessary equipment or support for the delivery of activities in Casey that promote your group and welcome new members. A maximum of 2 applications can be funded per group under this criterion.
Frequency: All year round (until funds run out).
Limitations
To apply for this grant, your group must:
- be a registered (incorporated) not-for-profit club or community group. If your group is not incorporated, you will need an Auspice organisation (see the Auspice section on this page).

- have public liability insurance of $20 million or more.
The following groups can not apply:
