Purpose
A Quick Response Grant is funding that is available throughout the year to support Casey's community organisations.
Overview
Up to $1,000 is available to support new community organisations and to help established groups to address urgent or unexpected challenges and opportunities that may impact their organisation, core programs or the Casey community. Up to $1,500 is available for organisations to run small-scale events and activities that bring people together in new ways to promote community participation, social cohesion and connection.
Eligibility
To apply for this grant, your group must:
- be a registered (incorporated) not-for-profit club or community group. If your group is not incorporated, you will need an Auspice organisation (see the Auspice section on this page).
- meet or hold activities in the City of Casey or provide services to the Casey community.
- have public liability insurance of $20 million or more.
The following groups can not apply:
- Individuals and sole traders (including those with an auspice)
- Government agencies at local, state or federal level. Exceptions apply to local volunteer-based emergency service organisations including but not limited to the CFA and SES
- Businesses
- Political parties or groups
- Schools and Council managed kindergartens
