Purpose
Swan Proactive Grants encourage the delivery of innovative community led projects activities and or initiatives targeting community identified strategic Focus Areas; to ultimately enhance the lives of residents, visitors, and the wider City of Swan community.
Overview
The Focus Areas selected for each quarter will be identified through the City’s Local Area Planning processes and this will be updated and published accordingly.
Proactive Grants opportunities up to $25,000 are available.
Proactive grants are designed to empower you to set up services and respond to changing community needs. The needs the council are currently targeting with proactive grants are:
- Community health and wellbeing
- Homelessness
- Accessibility, especially relating to trauma-informed services and neurodiversity awareness
- Sustainable environment.
This type of grant allows for the purchase of minor capital items - that's anything that lasts longer than a year and costs under $5,000.
If you have a project that doesn't seem to fit any of our grants streams, please reach out to the Council directly.
Limitations
