Purpose
Each year Kestrel offer grants for community initiatives, events and programs.
Overview
Kestrel look forward to investing in the community and not for profit groups, of all sizes.
To be successful, applications will be assessed on how they fit within the parameters of our core community focus areas - the 4 focus areas are:
- Health and Well-being:
Healthy minds, healthy bodies and healthy relationships are key to a healthy community - Education and Opportunity:
Brighten the opportunities for our locals and encourage life-long learning - Enhancing Livelihoods:
Create access to a diverse range of support and services and improve the lives of our people
Limitations
Previous rounds show that Kestrel Coal will not provide community investment support to organisations that are:
- For profit, without clear community connection.
- Discriminating on the basis of race, gender, ethnicity or lifestyle.
- Based around religious or political activities.
- Involved in advocacy or lobbying.
- Projects or programs that would ordinarily be fully funded by any level of Government.
