Purpose
The City of Casey’s Biodiversity Incentive Scheme aims to maintain, protect and expand these areas by providing financial support to private landholders and those who volunteer on public land.
Overview
Applicants can choose between receiving monetary support or a donation of indigenous seedlings.
Grant streams available:
- Main stream
- resident (private land manager) or volunteers (public land managers)
- Revegetation stream
- plants provided for public or private land
The information on this page refers to the Main grant stream. Applicants may apply for one or both streams during a single grant round.
Limitations
This grant is open to private landowners and volunteer public land managers who want to improve native vegetation in Casey.
Council will not fund:
- applications linked to planning permit conditions
- activities required as part of planning enforcement
- boundary fencing
