Purpose
Community Grants support community-based groups and service organisations to develop effective activities that address the social, economic and/or environmental needs of residents in the Newcastle Local Government Area.

There are four streams available withing the Community Support Grant:
- Arts, Culture and History
- Environment
- Social Inclusion
- Sustainability

Sustainability:
Supports activities that enhance the sustainability of Newcastle, through the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, increasing resilience to the impacts of climate change and circular economy initiatives.
Funding: $1,000 to $10,000

- Legally constituted not-for-profit organisations
- Small businesses
- Individuals must be auspiced by eligible entity
- Voluntary run groups
- Community gardens groups
