Purpose

Funding to support disaster readiness infrastructure such as evacuation centres, capital equipment or a multipurpose community facility.

Overview

Funding is available for sport and recreation facilities, arts and cultural infrastructure, as well as projects that assist communities with essential infrastructure and disaster readiness.

Funding is available in four key categories: 

  • Arts & Culture - $50,000 to $200,000 available per project
  • Community Infrastructure - $50,000 to $250,000 available per project
  • Disaster Readiness - $50,000 to $200,000 available per project
  • Sport & Recreation - $50,000 to $300,000 available per project

Limitations

Eligibility

  • Not-for-profit organisations that will be responsible for operating and/or maintaining the infrastructure.
  • Schools - applicants must consider if and how the infrastructure project is accessible to the public outside school hours.
  • Local councils - applicants are required to cash-match the funding amount requested.

Who can't apply

  • Individuals
  • Organisations or businesses that may or will realise a commercial gain from the project.

What you can't apply for

  • Day to day activities that supplements ongoing service delivery or core business.
  • Existing services or initiatives currently underway.
  • Work undertaken or commenced before funding decisions are made.
  • Projects that provide or produce commercial outputs and benefits.
  • Recurring services and outputs that had been undertaken and or/funded in the past.
  • Projects not undertaken in NSW and/or not benefiting NSW communities and economy.
