The City of Ballarat's Community Impact Grant Program (CIGP) supports community groups, clubs, and organisations to build capacity and strengthen connections within the community

Funding is available for projects that align with the City's priority areas and benefit Ballarat residents. Priority areas are:

• A healthy, safe, connected and welcoming community for all
• Community capacity building
• An environmentally sustainable future

Eligible projects may include (but not limited to):

• Equipment: sports, administrative (printers, books etc.) or accessibility equipment
• Community Development: programs for community participation and engagement
• Knowledge Sharing: websites, workshops, training
• Events: community and cultural events that show accessibility
• Arts: performances, workshops, equipment
• Wellbeing Programs: physical and mental health initiatives

You can apply for the following three categories:

• Under $2,000
• Over $2,000 - Under $10,000
• Over $10,000

To be eligible to apply for the CIGP, you must be one of the following:

• Local, not-for-profit incorporated organisation, group, or association
• Non-incorporated group that is auspiced by an incorporated group
• Applicant from outside of Ballarat that is working with a local partner organisation

Ineligible applicants include schools (unless partnered), for-profit entities, government agencies, and organisations with incomplete grant obligations, gambling connections, or significant associations with harmful industries.
