Purpose

Northern and Yorke Landscape Board Grants program provides funding to community groups and not-for-profit organisations to enable them to undertake projects that deliver positive environmental outcomes across the Northern & Yorke Region.

Overview

The Northern and Yorke Landscape Board Grants program funds community groups and non-profit organisations for projects that create positive environmental outcomes across the region. The Bite-sized Grants program supports small, short-term projects with funding between $200 and $2,000. Projects must be completed, funds acquitted, and a report submitted within 3 months of receiving the grant. All projects must be finished and acquitted by 30 July, 2025.

Limitations

Who can apply?

Applicants must be an incorporated, not-for-profit organisation or volunteer group (including but not limited to Land, Coast, and Bushcare groups, Friends of groups, farming groups and schools, etc.).Applicants must hold valid public liability insurance and be able to provide a certificate of currency from their insurer.

Individual landholders cannot apply, although groups of landholders may apply with the support of a sponsor.

All applicants are required to be either a 'legal entity' as listed below or have a sponsor who is a 'legal entity':

  • Associations - incorporated under the Associations Incorporation Act 1985 (have "Inc." after their name)
  • Local Government - under Local Government Act 1999
  • Most Australian universities Some private schools.
  • Some private schools are incorporated or companies, however, many are not.
  • Public schools are not an individual legal entity, however the Minister of Education and Child Development, is a legal entity.

Applicants who are not a legal entity will need to seek an eligible sponsor.
