Purpose
The Community Benefits Sharing Program will provide significant, meaningful benefits to communities around the Western Downs Green Power Hub.
Overview
Western Downs Green Power Hub has committed $100,000 to be available per year through a grants process for local community projects within areas surrounding the Western Downs solar farm.
The program targets the local areas surrounding our Western Downs solar farm. This includes the towns of Dalby, Chinchilla, Kogan, Tara and Miles and surrounding areas.
The key focus of the fund is to support initiatives that contribute to the development of one of the following community growth areas:
- Arts, Culture & Events
- Energy Efficiency & Environment
- Disaster Relief & Emergency Services
- Education & Training (Focus on Women & Girls in STEM)
- First Nations
- Health & Wellbeing.
Limitations
Applicant Eligibility:
- You must be a charitable and not-for-profit organisation with a valid ABN.
- Have a project partner if you are not an incorporated organisation. A project partner is an incorporated community or not-for profit organisation that is willing to enter into the funding agreement on your behalf and help you to deliver the project
Western Downs Green Power Hub Community Grants program will support programs and projects in the towns of Dalby, Chinchilla, Kogan, Tara, Miles and surrounding areas.
