The Rye Park Community Enhancement Fund has been established to fund local projects and organisations that benefit the regional community during the operational life of the Rye Park Wind Farm.

The aim of the Fund is to share the financial benefits of the wind farm to support small, non-profit organisations, and individuals within 20km of the wind farm in the Yass Valley Council Local Government Area. The Fund will provide funding towards projects, goods or services that benefit the broader community.

Funding is administered by the RPWF Community Enhancement Fund Committee.

Applications will be reviewed and nominated to receive funding, with nominated applications endorsed by Council at the subsequent Yass Valley Council meeting.

The Committee is seeking to fund projects that fall within one or more of the following areas: 

• Health and Welfare
• Environment
• Sport or Recreation
• Culture and The Arts
• Education and Training
• First Nations
• Community Cohesion

Total funding pool: $55,000.00 (approximately)

Who can apply for funding?

Individuals, charitable or non-profit organisations are eligible to apply.  Applications must relate to an identified individual or community need in the surrounding wind farm area. Applicants must demonstrate how the funding will benefit the community directly or indirectly within their application.

Applications must fall within the Yass Valley Council Local Government Area (LGA) and must be located within a 20km radius of the RPWF boundary and includes the following townships: Bowning, Yass
