Purpose
The Clean Energy Skills National Centre of Excellence is leading a targeted Applied Research Grant Program to advance clean energy training across Western Australia.
Overview
With $1.5 million in funding available, the program offers grants of up to $350,000 per project to help education and industry partners co-design practical, scalable training solutions.
The Applied Research Grant Program supports collaborative projects that address real-world challenges in clean energy training. Projects must focus on one or more of the following:
- Remote and distributed learning: that expand access to training across regional and remote areas.
- First Nations - Learning on Country: which supports Aboriginal communities to access culturally safe, community-led training.
- Artificial Intelligence (AI) supported delivery and assessment: using emerging technologies to enhance training outcomes.
Applicants must demonstrate genuine collaboration and a clear pathway to impact for learners, educators and employers.
Limitations
Applications are open to WA TAFE colleges as lead applicants, working in partnership with:
- Australian universities;
- Industry partners operating within the sector relevant to the applied research;
- Aboriginal companies or community-controlled organisations; and/or
- Registered Training Organisations (RTOs).
