The Bungaban Pilot Community Benefit Program aims to provide financial support to community groups, events and projects that align with local aspirations and Council priorities.

This pilot program will inform the development of a larger, long term Community Benefit Framework that will be implemented once the Bungaban Wind Energy Project reaches financial close. The total allocation for this pilot program is $50,000, with priority given to initiatives that deliver a tangible benefit to the communities closest to the project footprint.

Applications for community projects and events are encouraged - particularly projects with an address key areas;

• Health and wellness 
• Liveability
• Economic development and tourism
• Coexistence with agriculture
• Renewable energy/recycling.

The nominated project or events must be delivered within the Western Downs Regional Council or Banana Shire Council Local Government Areas, and service the communities closest to the project footprint.

Applications are open to not-for-profit organisations, and must have either a valid ABN or an auspice agreement with an project partner with a valid ABN.
