Benefit Geelong Community Grants Program will support programs and projects that make a positive contribution to the Geelong community.

Charitable and Not-for-profit Organisations can apply for projects and activities that offer clear public benefit for the community, contributing to its development in building social capital, community welfare, environmental, health, education or cultural areas

Member based organisations where the grant will only benefit members and not the wider community are excluded e.g. purchasing sporting equipment for the benefit of members only.

Community groups that have received a Benefit Geelong grant in the past two years will be ineligible for this round.

Projects may demonstrate outcomes in:

• Animal welfare
• Choice and empowerment
• Community resilience
• Digital
• Disaster recovery
• Environmental
• Financial
• Health
• Housing
• Learning, skills and development
• Safety
• Social cohesion.

You must:

• Programs and projects must be delivered and benefit the Geelong community
• be an incorporated community or not-for-profit organisation
• have a project partner if you are not an incorporated organisation. A project partner is an incorporated community or not-for profit organisation that is willing to enter into the funding agreement on your behalf and help you to deliver the project
• have a valid Australian bank account
