Purpose
Funding is now available to help deliver new fast-charging stations across metropolitan and regional NSW.
Overview
The EV fast charging grants program has funded 184 charging stations. In round 4, an additional 104 eligible zones are open for funding. This will ensure that fast charging stations are no more than 100 km apart on major roads and highways across NSW.
As a key action under the NSW Electric Vehicle Strategy, the program is helping to make EV ownership more convenient, accessible and reliable for all drivers.
After the success of the first 3 rounds of the program, some objectives have been updated to better reflect the program's focus and ensure the next phase continues to deliver meaningful outcomes for NSW drivers, industry and communities.
Round 4 introduces several key changes from earlier rounds, including:
- simplified funding streams (metropolitan, regional and remote)
- revised co-funding caps and technical requirements
- new operational expenditure (OPEX) support for remote stations
- updated milestone payment structure
- additional funding for pull-through and extra bays.

- incorporated under the Corporations Act 2001; or
- a state-owned corporation or subsidiary; or
Applicants must also:
- hold a current Australian Business Number (ABN)
