The Purves Environmental Fund are commemorating their 20th anniversary by establishing catalytic gifting alongside their regular giving to inspire and support innovative, measurable, and high-impact environmental initiatives.

The objective of the grant is to support initiatives that would deliver measurable positive impacts on the preservation of biodiversity and environmental sustainability in Australia and strengthen effective and impactful environmental organisations, that are limited by capacity to leverage their proven track records in delivering tangible environmental outcomes.

Total gift pool:  $2 million

Elements they are looking to support include:

• Environmental outcomes sought
  • Protection of high conservation value habitats
  • Reduction or mitigation of unsustainable management of natural resources
  • Eliminating pollution by resolving its causes, through the implementation of best available solutions
• Strategies and activities
  • Are grounded in best available science and solutions(s)
  • Avoid any negative consequences to other elements of the natural environment
  • Seek to address social licence on the status quo
• Impact deliverables
  • Results in tangible or measurable outcomes that protect or conserve the environment
  • Demonstrate a measurable increase in awareness of the current state of the environment

• Projects must be delivered in Australia
