Purpose
Disaster Recovery Allowance (DRA) is financial support if you've lost income as a direct result of this disaster.
Overview
If you're eligible, you'll get the maximum equivalent rate of JobSeeker Payment or Youth Allowance, depending on your personal circumstances.
Payments will be reduced to zero if your income is the same as or more than the average weekly income amount of $2,011.40 before tax.
Disaster Recovery Allowance is a taxable payment and needs to be included in your tax return.
You can get Disaster Recovery Allowance for a maximum of 13 weeks.
You have until 12 July 2026 to make a claim for the following areas
