Purpose
The Community Grants Program is to provide funds to projects which improve the outcomes of people living in our area.
Overview
Charitable and Not-for-profit Organisations can apply for projects and activities must offer clear public benefit for communities which contributes to the development in building social capital, community welfare, environmental, health, education or cultural areas of our community.
Objectives:
- Make better, targeted use of funds that are responsive to community needs.
- Provide a simpler application process.
- To enable us to be more responsive to the needs of communities.
Projects may demonstrate outcomes in:
- Animal welfare
- Choice and empowerment
- Community resilience
- Digital
- Disaster recovery
- Environmental
- Financial
- Health
- Housing
- Learning, skills and development
- Safety
- Social cohesion
Limitations
You must:
- be an incorporated community or not-for-profit organisation with valid ABN or incorporated number
- have a project partner if you are not an incorporated organisation. A project partner is an incorporated community or not-for profit organisation that is willing to enter into the funding agreement on your behalf and help you to deliver the project
- have a valid Australian bank account, which is to be held and maintained by Community Bank Rupanyup and Minyip
- project objectives must be consistent with the RMFG objectives and have clear measurable outcomes.
- RMFG must be adequately recognised for its part in contributing funds to the project which will include signage and access to members
