Purpose
Narrabri Shire Council's Community Financial Assistance Grant supports the delivery of projects and activities that pursue our values of a connected, unique, and culturally rich community.
Overview
The annual program provides financial support for projects, programs and events that contribute to a connected, unique and culturally rich community. Funding is available to help local organisations deliver initiatives that strengthen social connections, support community wellbeing and enhance the vibrancy of the Narrabri Shire.
Funding caps:
- Up to $500 for school P&C/P&F committees, preschools, education facilities and Registered Training Organisations.
- Up to $3,000 for eligible community organisations, with funding allocated on a pro-rata basis according to participation.
- Please note that, depending on the outcome of Round 1, a second funding round may not be offered.
Eligibility
Eligibility
In order to be eligible for a Community Financial Assistance Grant, applicants must be:
- A registered not-for-profit organisation;
- An incorporated community group;
- An unincorporated community group that meets the criteria in the list below;
- A community group that is affiliated that meets the criteria in the list below;
- A registered sporting club that has a management committee and meets the criterion the list below;
- A school P&C Committee;
- A partnership arrangement between an eligible entity and a non-eligible entity;
- A not-for-profit Childcare Facility; or
- A registered charity.
Unincorporated groups, sporting clubs, or unincorporated affiliated groups must meet all of the below criteria in order to be eligible:
- A formal documented structure that establishes a management committee and governs the way the organisation operates;
- A management committee; and
- A bank account in the name of the group that requires at least two signatories to authorise.
