Purpose

The Grassroots Grants program supports individuals, volunteers, community groups and other organisations working on a not-for-profit basis, with local landscape management projects or events with a focus on water, sustainable agriculture, pest plants and animals, biodiversity and community.

Overview

Funding will be awarded to projects on a competitive basis and we expect to fund a range of projects across the region that address our priority areas of water, sustainable agriculture, pest plants and animals, biodiversity and community.

Funding is available across two funding streams:

  • Small Community Grants for up to $5,000 (GST exclusive)
  • Large Community Grants for up to $15,000 (GST exclusive)

Limitations

To be eligible, you must:

  • Be an individual, volunteer, community group, farming group, or similar organisation
  • Be delivering a project on a not-for-profit basis (i.e. providing a broader public or environmental benefit)
  • Be a legal entity, or be sponsored by one
  • Be delivering a project within the Eyre Peninsula Landscape Board region
  • Have approval from any project partners or sponsors (include a letter of support)
  • Have written permission for works on land you don't own
  • Ensure your project is not already funded under another agreement
