Overview

This funding is designed for organisations and community groups with demonstrated experience, strong governance structure and capacity to delivery large-scale projects or events.

Applicants need to prove collaboration with other organisations, community groups and Council.

Examples of projects that large grants can support include:

  • Multicultural festival with performers, music, food, activities and more. It would be open to the public and able to host more than 5,000 attendees
  • A large sporting event that boosts community participation and has positive cultural outcomes
  • An urban sustainability or climate resilience project. This would educate a large number of residents and achieve long-term behaviour change.
  • A significant community safety and wellbeing project that partners with local Brimbank services
  • A large temporary public art project that improves a public space and boosts civic pride. It would support a range of local artists.

  • Be compliant with acquittal obligations for other grants funded under the Brimbank Community Grants Program.
  • Plan to deliver and complete the funded project or festival/event within the agreed period.
