Purpose
CBF Flood Relief grants aim to assist not-for-profit organisations that have been negatively affected by the 2026 floods. These grants are a special round of one-off funding through the CBF.
Overview
The Community Benefit Fund (CBF) receives funds from a levy on electronic gaming machines in licensed hotels.
If eligible, you can only apply for one CBF Flood Relief grant, and it must be for:
- repairs relating to flood damage
- replacement of items destroyed by the flood.
Applications may be made for multiple purposes in the one application and are only limited by the maximum grant allowable.
You may not apply for any item or purpose that is covered by insurance or another source of funding.
Limitations
If you want to apply for a CBF Flood Relief grant in the Northern Territory (NT), you must be a Territory-based non-profit community organisation that has been affected by the 2026 floods.
You must be incorporated under one of the following:
- Associations Act 2003
- Corporations Act 2001 (Commonwealth)
- Corporations (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) Act 2006 (Commonwealth)
- any other Act of Parliament.
Organisations must be not-for-profit and have a physical presence in the Territory.
You must be compliant with all reporting requirements relevant to the Act under which you are incorporated.
If you are registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profits Commission (ACNC) or Office of the Registrar of Indigenous Corporations (ORIC), you must be compliant with their reporting requirements.
