Applications for funding are open to any not-for-profit or incorporated community-based organisations with projects located up to 10 km from the wind farm.

All applications will be assessed on their merits, based on related benefits to the community, perceived suitability, the applicant's background and proximity to Moorabool Wind Farm. Assessment of applications will be undertaken by the Community Fund Committee, consisting of community representatives and representatives of Moorabool Wind Farm.

Funding applications for Community Grants will be considered across for main sectors:

• Public Health and Wellbeing
• Environmental Sustainability
• Skills and Education
• Recreational and Cultural Activities.

Applicants eligible to receive funding:

• Not-for-Profit Organisations 
• Have a valid Australian Business Number (www.abr.business.gov.au)

Groups that do not have an eligible ABN will require a Project Partner / Auspice. A Project Partner / Auspice is: 

• An organisation who has an eligible ABN and; 
• Willing to support and work with you to deliver your project

What will not be funded by the MWFCF? 

• Individuals
• Political organisations or campaigns
• Religious activities
• Private / commercial entities
• Irresponsible use of alcohol / drugs / gambling
• Repayment of debts or loans
• Administration expenses
• Overseas travel
• Applications seeking retrospective funding
• An organization’s ongoing operational costs (e.g. rent, salaries etc)
• Activities usually exclusively funded by government.
