Purpose
Wingecarribee Shire Council provides funding to eligible individuals, groups and not-for-profit cultural, recreational and community organisations for projects that align with our Community Strategic Plan.
Overview
Each year, Council provides financial and in-kind support to eligible individuals, community groups, and not-for-profit organisations.
Our grants, sponsorships and subsidies are competitive and designed to deliver measurable community benefit.
A wide range of programs are open under the Framework. Each has specific eligibility and funding caps.
- Kick Starter Grants - $250 to $1,000 for small-scale, grassroots community and youth initiatives.
- Small Halls Activation Grants - Up to $1,000 to activate and increase use of small halls.
- Destination Event Sponsorship - In-kind support for events that drive visitation and boost the local economy.
- Community Event Sponsorship - $500 to $10,000 to support events that bring people together and celebrate our Shire.
- Community Grants - $1,000 to $5,000 for community-led projects and initiatives.
- Christmas micro-grants - one off funding to support community-led Christmas activations across the Shire.
- Sustainability grants - $500-3,000 to support schools and community groups to play an active role in reducing their impact on the environment and implanting environmentally sustainable actions.
Eligibility
You may be eligible if you are a:

Not-for-profit organisation (including incorporated associations, sporting clubs, village groups, and arts and cultural organisations).

Unincorporated community group supported by an eligible incorporated body (auspice).

Registered charity (specific categories only).

School or educational institution delivering projects with a broader community benefit.

For-profit business (event sponsorship only, where there is clear community or economic benefit).

Individual (specific categories only, e.g. selected to represent at State or National level in sport, arts, or science).
To be eligible, applicants must:

Be based in, or deliver their project within, the Wingecarribee Shire.

Have no outstanding debts to Council.
