Purpose
Grants to support the Geelong community to lead the way in adapting to a changing climate.
Overview
Projects designed to respond to the City's Climate Change Response Plan 2021-30 by
-
increasing greening Greater Geelong, including tree planting and habitat restoration.
-
building community awareness about how a changing climate affects us.
-
boosting energy efficiency and local renewable energy generation.

supporting the transition to a net zero emissions municipality by 2035.

encouraging a shift to sustainable transport and cleaner fuels.

helping store more carbon naturally through soils and vegetation.
-
strengthening local networks and collaboration for long-term impact.
Our focus this year is greening Greater Geelong through planting trees, creating biodiverse landscapes, and expanding green spaces. These efforts contribute to stronger, healthier neighbourhoods while building resilience to the impacts of a changing climate.
Eligibility
To apply for this grant you must be one of the following:
- incorporated not-for-profit organisation
- unincorporated group with an auspice
- registered charitable organisation
- school or learning institution - only if in partnership with at least one other school or not-for-profit organisation
- individual operating as a sole trader (with an active ABN)
- business.
