Purpose
To encourage, engage and support groups to make a positive and ongoing contribution to the fabric of our community.
Overview
Micro grants are available for amounts of up to $1,000 - open across the calendar year from 1 July 2026 until funds are expended.
As part of the competitive application process, applicants for all grant types (Micro, Minor and Major) will be asked to nominate an assigned 'focus area' that aligns with their specific grant application. These 'focus areas' broadly reflect the former grant program categories;
- 1. Community Support
- 2. Cultural and Arts Support
- 3. Economic Development
- 4. Sport and Recreation
- 5. Environment
- 6. Event / Activations
- 7. Sports Tourism
- 8. Youth
Eligibility
Not-for-profit groups recognised by legal status. e.g.
- incorporated entity with or without an ABN
- other incorporated entity
- charitable institution
- Australian public company limited by guarantee
- Public Benevolent Institution (PBI) and
- Health Promotion Charity (HPC).
Non ATO recognised groups with a 'not for profit' purpose will require an auspice partner to accept financial and legal responsibility for the approved project.
