This grant scheme provides financial assistance to community groups and organisations to implement and build capacity for renewable energy, energy efficiency, waste and climate change related projects.

This grant stream aims to support community-led projects that protect and enhance the natural environment, strengthen sense of place, and build a more sustainable and resilient Indigo Shire.

All applications must demonstrate alignment with at least one of the focus areas below:

• Climate Change Mitigation
• Climate Change Adaptation
• Environment Enhancement and Protection
• Waste Reduction and Circular Economy

Funding Available:  From $2,000 to $5,000 per applicant (total funding pool $17,000)

The applicant is:

• Groups from locally based groups and organisations who operate in the Indigo Shire or meet a demonstrated need within the Shire
• Groups and organisations that are not for profit and open to or accessible by Indigo Shire residents
• Organisations that are incorporated, auspiced by another group or will become incorporated as a condition of funding
