Purpose
Individual grants allow artists, sports people, environmental champions and emerging leaders an opportunity to elevate their interests and participation through this grant stream.
Overview
This grant stream may support activities such as:
- securing studio space or creative development opportunities
- representing a sport at state or national level
- undertaking projects to improve the local environment
- completing training or accreditation to strengthen community leadership.
Grants may be used for:
- Creative project costs specific to the application
- Registration fees
- Course fees delivered by a Registered Training Organisation (RTO)
- Travel and accommodation (up to $500 combined)
- Clothing or uniforms (up to $250 combined)
- Materials and equipment (up to $500 combined)
Eligibility
To be eligible, all applicants must meet the following mandatory requirements:
- be located in the City of Whittlesea, or deliver a project, activity, or event within the municipality
- have no outstanding debts to Council
- have successfully acquitted all previous Council-funded grants and projects
- demonstrate alignment with our community vision - Whittlesea 2040: A place for all
- comply with all relevant Federal and Victorian legislation and Council policies (for example: Child Safe Standards, Gender Equality, Fair Access Policy), with supporting evidence provided as part of the application.
