Purpose

The Environmental Fund supports community groups, volunteer environmental groups and organisations undertaking environmental restoration, conservation and preservation works within the Kempsey Shire.

Overview

The fund contributes to the environmental outcomes identified through Kempsey Shire's Community Strategic Plan by supporting practical projects that protect, restore and enhance the natural environment.

Applications should demonstrate how the proposed project or activity contributes to one or more of the following objectives:

  • Protect and enhance the natural environment.
  • Restore or preserve local ecosystems and habitats.
  • Support community-led environmental conservation activities.
  • Improve the condition of natural areas.
  • Deliver measurable environmental outcomes

Eligibility

  • An incorporated not-for-profit organisation with an ABN.
  • A registered charity.
  • A Crown Land Manager (Crown Reserve Trust).
  • An unincorporated community group applying through an eligible auspice organisation.
