Purpose
For projects that build community capacity, participation, arts and sustainability.
Overview
The Community Strengthening Fund supports projects, programs and initiatives that strengthen community connections, build local capacity and increase participation.
Projects may include:
- Community programs and activities that build skills, leadership and participation.
- Community arts and cultural initiatives.
- Environmental and sustainability projects.
- Community events that bring people together.
- Projects that activate Council facilities.
- Small-scale community facility improvements and upgrades.
- Volunteer development and wellbeing initiatives.
Available in March and August rounds.
Applicant Contribution Requirements:
- Up to $1,000 - No contribution required
- $1,001-$5,000 - $1 contribution for every $2 requested
- $5,001-$10,000 - 1:1 matching contribution required on funding above $5,000
Eligibility
- Incorporated community groups.
- Community groups with an eligible auspice organisation.
- Individuals with an ABN (arts specific projects only).
- Community Asset Committees for projects that activate Council facilities.
