Purpose
The aim of this grant is to help Friends of groups, Landcare groups and other community groups run large-scale projects that protect and improve native species in Cardinia Shire.
Overview
- Grant amount: up to $6,000, including GST.
- Closing date: 5pm Wednesday 30 September 2026.
- Project completion: all work must be finished by Monday 31 May 2027.
- Project acquittal: evidence of works completed (eg: photos) and expeniture (eg: tax receipt) by Friday 11 June 2027.
Priority will be given to projects that:
- improve the natural environment on public or private land through planting, weed and animal control or fencing to protect vegetation
- are in or connected to areas shown in our Biolink Plan.
- help threatened species
- create opportunities for volunteers in Friends groups and Landcare groups
- work with several community groups
- improve biodiversity on a large scale.
