Purpose
Tasmanian Gas Pipeline Community Grants Program will support projects and initiatives which will benefit communities of Circular Head, Waratah-Wynyard, Burnie, Central Coast, Devonport, Latrobe, Kentish, Meander Valley, Launceston, West Tamar, George Town, Northern Midlands, Southern Midlands and Brighton.
Overview
Charitable and Not-for-profit organisations can apply for projects that contribute to one or more of the following areas:
- Environmental Conservation: Projects that protect, restore and enhance native habitats, biodiversity, waterways and natural landscapes
- Habitat Restoration & Regeneration: Initiatives such as revegetation, tree planting, landcare activities and ecosystem restoration projects
- Biodiversity & Wildlife Protection: Projects that support native flora and fauna, improve habitat connectivity, and help protect vulnerable species
- Environmental Education & Community Stewardship: Programs that inspire communities to learn about, care for and actively participate in protecting the environment
