Purpose
The QBE AcceliCITY Humanitarian Challenge backs real-world solutions that help people prepare for, respond to and recover from climate-driven disasters.
Overview
Each year, the Challenge focuses on priority humanitarian and resilience challenges identified by Red Cross Red Crescent Movement partners.
Startups have the opportunity to test their solutions against real-world challenges, generating insights that extend beyond a single community, location or pilot. What starts as a local pilot can become a model for impact in communities around the world.
For the 2027 Challenge, they are seeking startups with existing products, technologies or services that can help address the following humanitarian and resilience challenges.
- Turning preparedness into lasting resilience
- Helping communities make better use of climate and risk information
Winning startups receive funded pilot opportunities valued at up to AUD $100,000.00
Eligibility
They are looking for early- to mid-stage startups, social enterprises, nonprofits and mission-driven teams from anywhere in the world with a tech-enabled solution that strengthens community resilience to disasters or climate risk.
Ideal applicants are developing scalable solutions with real-world impact, are open to working with communities and humanitarian partners, and are ready to grow through expert support, pilot opportunities and global networks.
