Purpose

Each year a number of small grants are offered to assist the staging of mental health promotion activities or events during October’s Mental Health Month.

Overview

Small Grants are offered every year to support Mental Health Month during October.

General

The General Grant category encourages individuals, groups or organisations to propose projects or events that promote mental health awareness and dialogue.  See application form here

Youth

The Youth Grant category invites young people, individuals, youth-focused groups or organisations to propose projects or events promoting mental health awareness among peers during Mental Health Month. See application form here

CALD

The Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) Grant category encourages individuals, groups or organisations addressing CALD communities to propose projects or events promoting mental health awareness and support.  See application form here

LGBTQIA+

The LGBTQIA+ Grant category welcomes individuals, groups or organisations focusing on LGBTQIA+ to propose projects or events promoting mental health awareness and support within the community. See application form here

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander

The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Grant category welcomes individuals, groups or organisations focusing on Indigenous communities to propose projects or events promoting mental health awareness and support.  See application form here

Limitations

Before applying, please ensure that:

  • Your organisation, group, or initiative is based in NSW or delivers services to NSW communities
  • You are a community group, not-for-profit organisation, school, or local service
  • Your proposed project or event will be delivered during Mental Health Month (October)
  • Your activity aligns with the Mental Health Month theme
  • You have the capacity to plan and deliver the project or event within the required timeframe
  • You can provide formal invoicing documentation (e.g. tax invoice or equivalent) to receive grant funds
  • You have a nominated contact person responsible for managing the grant
