Purpose
The Award encourages and rewards clinical psychologists for work in the area of adult ageing.
Overview
The Alastair Heron Prize honours the contribution made by Emeritus Professor Alastair Heron to the Society and the College of Clinical Psychologists.
As the population ages, there is a growing need to understand the processes and sequelae of human ageing and to develop appropriate therapies for psychological problems among older people.
Successful candidates for the Alastair Heron Prize will receive an award of $400 and a certificate.
This is a biennial award (even years only).
Limitations
Nominees must be members of the APS College of Clinical Psychologists.
