Hear the World Foundation funding provides funding to support hearing healthcare services with a particular focus on children, parents and families, hearing loss prevention and professional training. 

Hear the World Foundation, together with its partners, is committed to equal opportunities and increased quality of life for children with hearing loss in low- and middle-income countries.

The funder supports programs and initiatives that:

• Work towards improving hearing healthcare for children in underserved communities.
• Have a holistic program framework and a strong emphasis on building local capacity
• Use evidence-based ways to achieve specified outcomes in hearing health and show willingness and capacities to participate in monitoring and evaluation
• Follow an inclusive approach

Please note: While the funder will mainly be proactively reaching out to selected organizations for application submissions, they still welcome relevant partnership ideas or general inquiries via email. Exclusion criteria

They partner with:

• Locally-rooted organisations in low- to middle-income countries
• Professional, legally registered non-profit organisations including NGOs, community groups, hospitals and actors within the private sector, preferably working with local governments and in networks with other organisations
• Financially stable and transparent partners, working towards a self-reliant hearing health care model

We are not able to support:

• Basic funding of organisations or foundations
• Campaigns, projects or organisations with significant political exposure
• Fly-in fly-out projects without local anchoring
• Individual persons with hearing loss
• Projects in countries with severe safety or security risks
