Purpose

This funding round is to support artists, collectives, community groups, producers and venues to present shows for Adelaide Fringe 2026.

Overview

Applicants in each stream will apply as one of these three groups:

  • Artist, Collective, or Community Group - $5,000.00
  • Producer - $5,000.00 to $7,500.00
  • Venue - $5,000.00

There are three categories of funding available for each applicant. Applicants can apply for funding within all three of these categories, but their overall budget must remain within the relevant grant cap.

  • Operational, Development and Marketing costs
    • Support for the development, staging and promotion of your venue, show or program.
  • Artist & Audience access
    • Initiatives to remove barriers to participation for both artists and audiences.
  • Regional and Remote touring.
    • Costs associated with taking your event to South Australia's regional and remote areas throughout the Adelaide Fringe season.

Limitations

  • South Australian, Australian and international creatives presenting an Adelaide Fringe Show
  • South Australian, Australian and international creatives producers and programmers
  • Adelaide Fringe Venues
    • Venues must be hosting a minimum of three events, with a minimum of twelve sessions to be eligible.
  • Submissions from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants are strongly encouraged.
  • Applications from South Australian emerging creatives will be prioritised in this funding round.
  • You are not eligible to apply for a Fringe Fund grant if the proposed show was a successful recipient of
a 2025 Adelaide Fringe Artist Fund grant, and you are applying for the same type of funding (this does
not apply to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants). If your show received funding through
the 2024 Artist Fund grants, we will only fund Regional Touring and Artist & Audience Access for that
show. However, we will not fund Regional Touring and Artist & Audience Access if you received this form
of funding for the 2026 festival.
  • You have the option of applying for multiple funding streams, but we will aim to distribute our resources
to as many applicants as possible and are unlikely to fund multiple grant applications from a single
    individual, collective or organisation.
  • The funder strongly recommends that you ensure your proposed plans are achievable and realistic. Evidence of a strong financial strategy, secured project income from alternative sources and the inclusion of quotes or actual costings will be looked upon favourably.
