Purpose

Tour de Cure funds grants for the prevention, diagnosis, treatment or cure of cancer, as well as projects to promote and increase cancer awareness and understanding in Australia.

Overview

Grant applications will be welcome in these categories:

  • Senior Research Grant - Funding up to $200,000.00
  • Mid-Career Research Grant - Funding up to $100,000.00
  • Early Career Research Grant - Funding up to $100,000.00
  • PhD Scholarship - Funding up to $10,000.00
  • Early Identification Research Grant - Screening/Diagnostics Grant (new in 2025) - Funding up to $100,000.00
  • Matching Grant - Funding up to $100,000.00 (when matched, funding will total up to $200,000.00
  • Support Grant - Funding up to $50,000.00
  • Prevention Grant - Funding up to $50,000.00

and Named Awarded Grants

  • Prof Richard Scolyer Award for Brain Cancer Research (new in 2025) - awarded annually to a brain cancer research applicant.
  • Scott Canner Award - The top score in the Early Career category will be known as the 'Scott Canner Award'
