The Queensland Destination Events Program (QDEP) helps connect events with the unique destinations they call home, ensuring the benefits of these events are felt far and wide across the State.

Queensland Destination Elevate Indigenous Events Investment program supports the elevation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander events and content within existing events to expand their tourism impact, attract more visitors, and strengthen Queensland's cultural offering and economic prosperity for indigenous businesses.

Events must have been staged at least twice, previously received TEQ support and be able to demonstrate success of achieving tourism outcomes. Note, this funding is one-off, strategic investment for event program enhancements or out of region marketing costs only. Can be used in conjunction with other TEQ event funding.

Funding amount (ex. GST) - $15,000 - $40,000.

For Elevate Indigenous Events funding, your event needs to meet this criteria:

• Have been held at least twice before in the same Queensland location.
• Previously received TEQ support.
• Include Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander content
• Demonstrate visitor attraction from outside the local government area.

Elevate funding can also be used in conjunction with either Destination Signature or Destination Significant Event Funding.
