Purpose

The General Fund grant program supports organisational capacity building of mid-tier organisations.

Overview

QCF's grant making from the General Fund focuses on organisational capacity building assisting charities develop their structures, systems, people and skills in order to deliver improved outcomes.

Typically, capacity building focuses on education and training, recruiting, maintaining or recognising volunteers, information technology support systems, and planning and governance which may include strategic plans, constitution reviews or board appraisals.

The General Fund 2026 grant program supports organisational capacity building of mid-tier organisations.

Limitations

All organisations who apply must: 

  1. Be providing a service that benefits Queenslanders, providing a service to local communities.
  2. Endorsed by the Australian Tax Office as Item 1 Deductible Gift Recipients (DGRs). To confirm DGR 1 status, enter the organisation's ABN at this link: http://www.abr.business.gov.au/. If you are not DGR1 status you can apply through Auspice. 
  3. Mid-tier (annual revenue up to a maximum of $15M per individual applicant). 
  4. Fully acquit any previous Queensland Gives grants.
