Purpose
ANZIC is pleased to offer Travel Support to scientists from their member institutions to attend international Proposal Planning Workshops to shape new scientific drilling plans.
Overview
ANZIC provides up to AU$2,500 to support your travel expenses to participate in international proposal planning workshops related to ICDP or scientific ocean drilling activities. You must secure co-funding for the balance of your travel expenses.

Limitations
Ensure you can meet the following requirements:
- Invitation letter: Obtain a letter from the workshop organisers detailing how your expertise will contribute to the workshop's goals or proposal's needs.
- Strategic relevance: Demonstrate that your participation aligns with ANZIC's science priorities or could lead to drilling in our region.
- Co-funding commitment: Secure or have the ability to secure additional co-funding if your total travel costs exceed ANZIC's contribution of up to AU$2,500.
- Career development for ECRs: If you are an Early Career Researcher (ECR), illustrate how attending the workshop will benefit your career in the short to medium term.
