The Variety Bikes for Kids program grants bikes to children experiencing disadvantage, opening the door to the freedom and independence that comes with having a bike of their own.

For many families, the cost of a bike is out of reach, and this program helps more children ride alongside their friends and take part in an active, healthy lifestyle. A bike can spark confidence and opportunity in all corners of a child's life - from joining in at school and community activities to spending more time playing with friends and family.

Applicants must:

• Reside in Queensland
• Be Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents
• Be aged 5-17 (must be under 18 at time of submission)
• Have been affected by financial disadvantage, geographical isolation or living with a disability or chronic illness
• Applicants identifying under financial hardship: household income (after tax) must not exceed $5500 per month
• Applicants identifying with a disability or chronic illness: household income (after tax) must not exceed $8000 per month.
