Purpose
The Study NT International Student Accommodation Grant Application. This grant assists international students with the cost of their relocation to the Northern Territory (NT) of Australia.
Overview
The Study NT International Student Accommodation Grant Application. This grant assists international students with the cost of their relocation to the Northern Territory (NT) of Australia.
The accommodation will be at:
- UniLodge Darwin (available to all international students enrolled with a NT education and training provider)
or - CDU Village Casuarina (available for CDU students only).
In making this application you are representing to the Northern Territory Government that:
- You currently live outside the Northern Territory.
- You will be moving to Darwin from interstate or overseas.
- You hold a valid Student Visa (subclass 500).
- You have enrolled to study with a Northern Territory education provider.
- Your course is at least 24 weeks long and starts before 1 June 2026.
- You understand and accept that accommodation is subject to availability.
- You have signed a six-month accommodation contract and pay any associated fees with that contract.
- You have not or will not be receiving the UniLodge Darwin International High Achievers Accommodation Scholarship (2026).
Limitations
Applicants must:
- Be outside of Australia at time of application (evidence will be required).
- Not be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or Australian permanent resident.
- Not have previously received funding under the International Student Travel Grant program.
- Be planning to move to the Northern Territory from outside of Australia.
- Have been granted a valid student visa (subclass 500).
- Arrive in the Northern Territory before 1 June 2025 and provide evidence of intended travel (flight itinerary) and costs with their application.
- Not have received any other Study NT grant funding (i.e. Study NT Accommodation Grant/Study in Australia’s Northern Territory Scholarship Program).
- Be a current international student enrolled for the next period of study with a Northern Territory International Education and Training provider, or a future student intending to enrol with a Northern Territory international education and training provider. Proof of Certificate of Enrolment is required.
- Not be an international student enrolled in short courses or non-accredited courses. Courses must be a minimum duration of 24 weeks to be eligible for application under this grant.
- Be enrolled in a course that commences prior to 1 June 2025.
- Open or have an Australian bank account in the Applicant’s name and have an Australian address for receipt of funding (payment will be made to the Applicant following arrival in the Northern Territory, and upon verification of bank account details and address by Study NT).
