Purpose
The Visa Vibe Grants Program supports innovative, inclusive, and community-focused night-time economy projects across Australia.
Overview
Informed by insights from the Visa Vibe Economy Report, the program could help grow night-time activity that meets changing consumer behaviours - including Gen Z's demand for affordable, creative, and community-driven experiences after dark - while strengthening local economies, precincts, and community connection.
The Visa Vibe Grants Program welcomes diverse ideas that contribute to vibrant, safe, and inclusive night-time experiences. Eligible projects are:
- Night Markets, Festivals & Events
Projects that create vibrant, affordable and repeatable after-dark experiences. - Creative, Cultural & Community Activations
Projects that bring arts, culture, sport and community together after dark. - Safety, Accessibility & Streetscape Improvements
Projects that improve real or perceived safety and accessibility in night-time environments through design, activation or infrastructure. - Affordable & Accessible Night-time Experiences
Projects that reduce cost barriers and expand participation in night-time activity. - Retail, Hospitality & Mixed-Use Night Activations
Projects that diversify night-time activity beyond traditional bars and clubs. - Precinct-Wide or Collaborative Projects
Projects that involve multiple businesses or partners and strengthen place-based outcomes. - Innovation, Pilots & Scalable Concepts
Projects that trial new ideas and can be repeated, scaled or adapted in other locations.
Limitations
To be eligible to receive a Visa Vibe Grants Program grant, applicants must meet all of the following criteria:
- Be delivering the project within one of the eight eligible states or territories
- Hold a valid ABN
- Be one of the following organisation types:
- Small business
- Creative enterprise
- Precinct, trader or business association
- Social enterprise or not-for-profit (including eligible auspiced organisations where applicable)
- Demonstrate capacity to deliver the proposed project, including appropriate governance and project management
- Be compliant with relevant local, state and federal requirements (including permits/approvals where required)
- Hold, or be able to obtain, appropriate public liability insurance for the project (where relevant)
- Be able to enter into a Grant Agreement and provide financial acquittal with evidence of expenditure
- Be available to deliver the project within the program delivery window (1 June - 30 August 2026)
