Overview
Previously known as the Queensland Destination Events Program, Homegrown has supported more than 1,000 events with more than $25 million in funding. The program has recently been refreshed to align with the Queensland Government's Destination 2045: Delivering Queensland's Tourism Future 20-year vision and will create even more opportunities for events to grow and thrive.
Events must demonstrate their ability to meet key objectives:
- Generate economic activity in the host destination;
- Attract external visitors to the destination;
- Drive social and community outcomes for the host destination; and
- Enhance the profile and appeal of the host destination.
One-off strategic investment for event program enhancements or out of region marketing costs only. Can be applied for in conjunction with other TEQ Homegrown event funding streams, excluding Destination Kickstarter
