Purpose
The Stroke Foundation’s Research Program funds annual research grants to promote stroke research capacity and generate new stroke knowledge.
Overview
This grant round includes three funding opportunities:
- Seed Grants - supporting early-stage, priority-aligned stroke research
- Childhood Stroke Grant - dedicated support for paediatric and childhood stroke research
- Future Leader Grants - supporting an individual's leadership and capability development. A special stream focused on aphasia research is supported by the Dr Anna Correll Memorial Fund. Researchers and people with lived experience are encouraged to apply.
Seed Grants: 2027 EMCR Seed Grant Application Form.

- Early-to Early-Mid-Career Researchers (EMCRs)
- Grant Value up to $80,000 per grant
Childhood Stroke Grants: 2027 Childhood Stroke Grant Application Form

- Rearchers of any career stage.
- The research must be done in Australia and supported by an Australian university or research body.

Future Leader Grants: 2027 Future Leader Grant Application Form.
