Purpose

A Provision of health care services to those not necessarily cared for in the private or public system, particularly the special needs of senior citizens. To include promotion of a healthy lifestyle, eating well and assistance in recovery from illness.

Overview

The Community Health grants are for the provision of health care services to those not necessarily cared for in the private or public system, particularly the special needs of senior citizens. To include promotion of a healthy lifestyle, eating well and assistance in recovery from illness.

The Small Grants Program will offer the following stream of funding:

  • JFCF contribution under this program ranges between $500.00 min to $10,000.00 max per organisation for a range of grassroots, community-led initiatives that directly and clearly benefit the local communities located within the Qld/NSW LGA's of the Gold Coast, Tweed Heads, Byron Bay & Lismore and align with one or more of the following priority areas:- Community Health, Disadvantaged, Domestic Violence, Homelessness, Housing & Accommodation and Mental Health;
  • For stand-alone projects only, with Total Program Cost < $50,000.00 benefiting the local communities detailed above;
  • Program must be completed within 12 months.
 

Eligibility

The James Frizelle Charitable Foundation Small Grants program is only available to not for profit organisations.

They recognise that some NFP groups will be unable to qualify for direct funding from us as they are not a DGR1 Charity. In this instance, they will permit the NFP to enter into an agreement with another qualified organisation which has DGR1 status to complete the project. The group requiring support is known as the "auspicee" or "delivery organisation" and the group holding any grant monies on behalf of auspicee/delivery organisation is known as the "auspicor" or "legal organisation" which has DGR1 status.
