Funding is available to support you to collaborate with survivors and descendants of the Stolen Generations in truth telling, preserving history and educating our communities.

Stolen Generations Truth Telling Grants support First Nations media makers to develop and document survivor centred, commemorative focused stories (e.g. in the form of podcasts, radio series, documentary, video, animation) exploring cultural themes and truth-telling relating to Stolen Generations.

The objective of Stolen Generations Truth Telling grants is to support the development and broadcast of culturally sensitive, survivor and descendant led and/or centred stories. These grants will help educate more Australians about the scale and impact of the forced removal of thousands of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people from families and community over many decades.

A total pool of $200k is available as a joint partnership between Community Broadcasting Foundation and The Healing Foundation.

There is no minimum or maximum grant size - small and large projects will be considered by a joint team of grant assessors from Community Broadcasting Foundation and The Healing Foundation.

Stories must be broadcast or published first on a community broadcasting station or digital platform and predominantly produced/led by First Nations people.
