Supporting events that highlight, celebrate and share Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.

Supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander events and cultural programming that showcase Queensland's unique cultural identity. Helps events strengthen their tourism offering through authentic Indigenous experiences that increase visitation, grow visitor expenditure and enhance destination appeal. Creates sustainable opportunities for Indigenous communities while strengthening Queensland's cultural tourism reputation.

Term

• One-off strategic investment.
• May be combined with one other Homegrown stream (excluding Kickstarter); combined request cannot exceed 25% of total event cash expenditure.

Events must have been staged at least twice (within the last three years), previously received TEQ support and be able to demonstrate success of achieving tourism outcomes.

The event must meet the following criteria:

• Be held in the same Queensland destination, it cannot rotate to other locations.
• must have been staged at least twice before and hold an active Homegrown funding agreement or submit a concurrent application under either Destination Signature or Destination Significant Event funding
•  must have delivered their most recent event before submitting an application and provide actual event performance data from that event.
• Align with the funding round's eligible event dates.
• Clearly demonstrate how the funding will contribute to the growth of tourism outcomes, including increased overnight visitor expenditure.
• Funding request must not exceed 25% of the total cash expenditure budget.
• The applicant must have an ABN, be either a Corporation registered with ASIC, an Incorporated Association or other body corporate
